Cool career idea: Determine a business's value Top

Some CPAs choose to specialize in smaller niche areas. One option is business valuation, or the process of determining the fair market value of an owner's interest in a business. This is an exciting field with endless opportunities not just in valuation, but also mergers & acquisitions, marital dissolutions, domain issues and much more.

The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) has a credential, Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), for these CPAs to show they have been properly trained and educated in business valuation. The AICPA even has a special practice section devoted to this area, called the Business Valuation and Forensic & Litigation Services Center.

Learn more about the ABV credential and if specializing in this area is right for you!
